Known for his wit and humor, Bill enjoyed “ruffling the feathers” of others just “to get them going”. As the only boy in a family of seven, Bill often “stirred the pot” to the chagrin of his adoring sisters.
Being outdoors was important to Bill, either on family vacations in northern Michigan or in Florida. Many fond memories were created on these trips. Golfing and the University of Michigan football were favorite outdoor activities as well.
As a husband, father, and son, Bill took his responsibility to care for his family seriously. He provided for his family through his work as an environmental engineer for the City of Monroe Water Department, Ford Motor Company, and Mannik and Smith Group.
St. Mary Parish extends his sympathy to Bill’s family; his wife, Cheryle, his daughters, Andrea (Joe) Gaynier and Amanda (T.J. Kettinger), his grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalie Gaynier; Drew Kettinger and his six sisters; Linda Novak, Donna Melvin, Debbie Steffes, Michele Burke, Jonie Barron, and Kelly Smith. May the hope and promise of eternal life console and comfort you in the coming days and weeks.
