Described as a generous woman, not hesitant to lend a hand of support to many charitable causes, who extended warm hospitality to those who entered the doors of “Danny’s Fine Foods”, Lucille Angela (Leonard) Vuich was commended to the love and mercy of God when her family and friends gathered on April 21 to prayerfully return her to the God who created her. With her husband of 46 years (Daniel M. Vuich; d. 1998), Lucille owned and operated the well- known family business of “Danny’s Fine Foods” on West Elm Ave. for many years. Care and support for her family and the needs of others in the Monroe community were ways in which Lucille lived her Catholic faith. She was a “cheerleader” for not only her children and grandchildren, but for worthy efforts in her hometown of Monroe. Lucille supported Catholic education on all levels, was a member of Monroe Women’s Center, Monroe Thrift Shop, the Advisory Board of Family Counseling and the Monroe Golf and Country Club (where she was an avid golfer). St. Mary Parish extends its prayerful support to Lucille’s family as they grief her death. May the generosity that marked her life in so many ways, and the hope and promise of the resurrection, continue to guide you in the days and years to come.
