Margaret Ann Straub, was a devoted wife to her husband Carl for almost 65 years, loving mother ofeleven children Lynette, Cindy, Marvin, Marie, Melvin, Mark, Joe, Cliff, Debra (d.), Matthew (d.) and Michael (d), grandmother to 22 children and great-grandmother to 21 children. Caring for her large family was a joy and an honor for Margaret! A homemaker, Margaret was very patient in her authority with her children. She loved to dance, especially to classic country music and often engaged her children in dancing in their home. Homemade dinners were one way of expressing her love for her family. She was very disciplined with her eating habits; never eating fast foods or drinking soda pop. Raising her children in the Catholic faith was another priority for Margaret. The importance of worshipping God every Sunday left a strong impression on her family. With Margaret’s diligence each of her children celebrated their “Sacraments of Initiation:” Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist”. Passing on her Catholic faith to her children was an essential of their family life. To all of Margaret’s family and friends, the St. Mary Parish community offers its sympathy and prayerful support. May the promise of the resurrection strengthen your hope in God’s faithful love and mercy.
