Dear people of St. Mary's life
You never leave my heart.
These months away in quarantine
Have kept us far apart.
But every day, before our God
Who keeps us safe in hand,
I join in Eucharistic Thanks.
With you, I kneel and stand.
 
It's Christmas time and we recall
That angels sang at Jesus' birth.
As prophets told he brings the light
To those in darkness on the earth.
From Bethlehem that holy night
He joins us in our story.
His suffering ours, our suffering His,
Through death to life and glory.
 
May Jesus, our Emmanuel be in our hearts this year.
We need His strength and hope and health
In us and others dear.
And also, faith, peace, joy, and love,
For bringing all good cheer.
