By your own hands you have transformed toil
from being a curse into a source of God's blessing.

Grant that those who are searching may find that work which is suitable for their hands, minds and hearts, In your kindness protect those who lack meaningful employment, And guide all people to fruitful labor that their efforts may contribute to your work of creation, provide stability and the necessities of life for themselves and their families, and enable them to practice charity.

Grant that by devotion to our work we may gladly cooperate
with the influence of your grace
and add our labors to your own work of salvation,
And for the loving providence you bestow
we give you thanks, Lord Jesus!
